Cybersecurity Compliance & RED/CE EN18031-1, -2 Directive Implementation
Dear AMIT Wireless Customers,
In response to Cybersecurity Compliance requirements and/or the RED/CE EN18031-1, -2 Directives,
AMIT Wireless is preparing to release new firmware (FW) that complies with the above regulations.
This compliant firmware will be integrated into our manufacturing system.
AMIT is targeting to introduce the encrypted firmware into product manufacturing by July 1, 2025.
This date refers to the goods delivery/invoice date from the AMIT factory.
For any orders with delivery dates beyond July 1st,
AMIT and the customer should discuss alternative arrangements on a case-by-case basis if adjustments to the firmware implementation schedule are needed.
Please note:
The new firmware is not backward-compatible with the existing version, and the two cannot be used interchangeably.
Products equipped with the encrypted firmware can be identified by either the Product Serial Number (on the back label) or the firmware version name displayed in the FW GUI.
This regulation enforcement applies to AMIT’s standard/generic product lines. For ODM products,
we recommend that AMIT and the respective customers engage in separate discussions regarding any ODM-specific requirements.
